BAAN DOI Home<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Our Home offers a safe home and a loving family with full-time care for orphans and children at risk. We individually look at each child\u2019s needs and focus on a good healthcare and education.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition to the health care in cooperation with the local hospitals - BAAN DOI provides organic food and many sport and free time activities to support the healthy development of the children.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our staff and children live together as a big family, in which everybody has his\/her role and responsibilities and a good sense of community is highly valued. We take care of each other and also care for the animals and the garden together.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Outreach Child Support <\/span>Program<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

The Outreach Child Support Program has been an important part of BAAN DOI\u2019s work since the very beginning. The program runs complementary to our BAAN DOI home.<\/span><\/p>\n

The focus of the program is, despite all the hardships the families are facing, to encourage them to care for their children by themselves and assist them to conquer the challenges of parenting and raising children.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our support system is based on 4 pillars, with a special aim to create sustainable development.<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Health<\/strong><\/p>\n

The families learn how to provide an environment that allows for the healthy development of their children.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Education<\/strong><\/p>\n

The families learn how to set and follow educational targets together with their children.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Legal Registration<\/strong><\/p>\n

The families gain knowledge about their rights and how they can claim them.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Income generating activities and trainings<\/strong><\/p>\n

the families have the chance to develop additional life skills for activities which will help them to save funds and earn additional income.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

BAAN DOI Farm<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

We started our organic farm in in 2018. In cooperation with the project BASEhabitat \u2013 architecture for change, University of Arts Linz, Austria (www.basehabitat.org<\/a>) and our permaculture teacher Sandot Sukkaew (Sahainan Permaculture Farm, Nan, Northern Thailand, www.sahainan.com<\/a>) we transformed a ricefield into an organic farm in order to supply our home with organic food.<\/span><\/p>\n

We plant jasmine rice, vegetables and fruits and raise fish and ducks. For our children and youth the farm holds many free time as well as life skill training opportunities.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
